Brief Biographies of Board of Directors:

Dr. Surendra K. Kaushik

is a professor of finance at the Lubin School of Business of Pace University and founder of the Mrs. Helena Kaushik Women’s College in Malsisar, Rajasthan, India.

Dr. Roy J. Girasa

is a professor of law and tax at the Lubin School of Business of Pace University. He has lectured and published extensively. Hon. Richard L. Ottinger is a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives, a founder member of the Peace Corps, and Dean Emeritus of Pace Law School in White Plains, NY

Dr. Satish Kapoor

is a physician in Tarrytown, New York, specializing in internal medicine and respiratory medicine. He is affiliated with Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow, New York.

Mr. James Wood

is a former banker, broker, and investment adviser having served at the Bank of New York and Merrill Lynch for long periods. He is active in many social and community organizations including boards of schools and colleges.

Dr. Frank C. Genovese

is a Graduate Dean Emeritus at Babson College where women students were first accepted in the MBA program under his deanship. He has served as Adviser to the Royal Central Bank of Jordan. He is active in educational, social and political groups. He has served as Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Economics and Sociology.

Mr. Jagadeesh Ambati

has expertise in computer and information systems. He is an entrepreneur with interest in educational projects and community service. Hon. Sandy Galef represents the 90th District in the New York State Assembly. A librarian by training, Assemblywoman Galef takes special interest in and is active in educational policies of the state.

Mrs. Barbara Lipton

is an art historian with expertise in Eskimo, Indian and Tibetan art. She has been an adjunct professor at The New School University and State University of New York at Purchase. She has served as Director of the Marchese Museum of Tibetan Art in Staten Island, New York where she published a complete catalog of the museum’s collection.

Dr. Donald Plunkett

is an expert in the area of consultative decision making as part of his management training. He is a published adjunct professor of management at Baruch College of the City University of New York. He owns and manages family businesses in electrical lighting of large construction projects. He is active in social causes, especially development and growth of women through education at all levels.

Mrs. Linda Viertel

is active in several land use and conservation projects in Westchester county of New York including Tarrytown Waterfront Advisory Committee; Westchester Land Trust Board; Heritage Park Committee; and Tarrytown Open Space Committee. She has created and conducted course evaluation for global roots program, Learning through an Expanded Arts Program (LEAP). She has conceptualized and helped implement a pioneering advocacy program for New York City high-school students in partnership with the Citizens Committee for Children and serves as Advisory Council Chair of The Mountain School. She is also a former board member of school and community programs including Citizen’s Committee for Children and Ethical Culture/Fieldston School and a former high school teacher at various schools throughout the United States including Dorchester High School, Roxbury High School, Agoura High School, and Fieldston School.
